Summer Pet Safety: Hydration in Hot Weather

Walk at dawn or dusk, avoid hot pavement, and offer shade. Provide multiple water stations and add ice cubes during heat spikes. For cooling, apply cool (not ice-cold) wet towels to the neck, armpits, and groin; use a fan for evaporative cooling.

Know emergency signs: collapse, confusion, dark urine, or persistent vomiting. Visit our Emergency guide for steps.
